About us

After a successful start in consulting, I was head-hunted for a role in National Highways. As Senior Environment Specialist, I was tasked with designing and running the tree inspection and maintenance programme for over 3million trees across 1,000 miles of the strategic road network.

I kept O’Connor Arboricultural Consultancy going through this time, to ensure the skills and knowledge needed in this area were kept fresh and up to date.

​

Early in 2022 I decided it was time to go back to consulting on a full-time basis and help people look after their trees and ensure all the benefits they hold can be safely retained.

 

Prior to starting my own consultancy, I worked for Nottingham City Council as a Tree Officer and spent almost 10 years with Nottinghamshire County Council as Assistant Forestry & Arb Officer and Tree Inspector.

Throughout this time, I gained extensive experience and key qualifications, such as the Technicians Certificate in Arboriculture.

 

Having spent 10 years working in the practical side of the industry prior to this experience, I have a well-rounded skill set and knowledge base on which to draw.

 

To keep myself up to date with the current best practice, I have retained membership at the Technician level of the Arboricultural Association and am confident that my experience gives me the skills needed to meet all your tree needs.
